Short bit

"Organizations exist to create value for their stakeholders". I wholeheartedly disagreed. Then I noticed that I had read 'shareholders' instead of 'stakeholders'. Then I realised that 'value' doesn't necessarily mean 'monetary value', although this seems to be the norm these days. A good old-fashioned company strives for continuation, not short-term gain.
